About

My name is Gabi and I’m a gardener based in Southampton, serving mostly the local area.

I’ve been fascinated by nature since my childhood and gardening allows me to pursue my passion for “growing” and enhancing green spaces and connecting people with them.

In my work I use wildlife friendly management style whenever possible and I’m a great believer in using techniques to mimic natural processes, such as no dig and mulching.

I mostly visit and maintain gardens on a regular basis but do the occasional one off jobs, such as spring tidying, mature garden rejuvenation or tree work. The last few years I’ve been dabbling in garden design with great success and I grow most of the plants for these projects myself to be as sustainable as possible.

Services:
– General garden maintenance of lawns, hedges and trees
– Planting design and care
– General handyman tasks from installing gates to pergolas.

I’ve been working with Wildlife Trust as Wilder Garden Champion advising people how to improve their garden for wildlife and I also carried out several greening projects working with HIWWT, such as this community centre replanting:

I’m always happy to give advice about any aspect of gardening, so if you have any gardening needs get in touch.

Insurance, Health&Safety and Waste disposal:
– My public liability insurance cover is £5,000,000.
– I’m an accredited SafeContractor, so my Heath&Safety practices are always up to date.
– I encourage all my customers to manage garden waste within the confines of their garden, mainly through home composting.
When this is not feasible I can take green waste away, for which I’m a registered carrier. I turn this green waste into compost at home. Eventually I use this byproduct to grow plants and to support community gardening projects.
