Gardens by Heather

We are a small business based in Appleton, Cheshire. We are passionate about creating wildlife friendly gardens to benefit people and nature. Heather is a qualified Garden Designer with the English Gardening School and Chris is a qualified Horticulturist with RHS Level 2.
We encourage our clients to look at increasing the diversity of plants and wildlife habitats in their gardens. We recommend installing easy to manage home composting systems, using leaf mould and mulching borders annually to create healthy, biodiverse soils.

The border planting schemes we design are pollinator friendly and give visual interest and food and nectar through the seasons. We specialise in designing and planting larger naturalistic borders to compliment the wider landscape beyond the garden. We source most of our plants from local specialist nurseries.
We regret we are currently at capacity for regular maintenance work, but have availability for consultations, design, and planting. Please see our website, Facebook and Instagram pages for examples of recently completed projects.
We stay up to date with local and national wildlife campaigns and guidelines and are members of the Cheshire Wildlife Trust.
