Jon Zerr
About
Featured in Gardens Illustrated’s “Ones to Watch 2025” and winner of Young Horticulturalist of the Year 2024, I bring together extensive horticultural training from prestigious gardens with a creative, ecological, and sensitive approach to helping landscapes truly thrive.
Alongside my work with private clients, I am currently leading the transformation of Bottengoms Farm - the former home of author Ronald Blythe - into a diverse wildlife garden on behalf of the Essex Wildlife Trust.
My gardening philosophy centres on building rich habitat and complementary plant communities. I draw on my in-depth botanical and ecological knowledge to create plantings that are long-lived, resilient, and biodiverse in every sense.
My broad background - spanning training in botanical gardens, completion of the RHS Wisley Level 4 Diploma, involvement in public landscaping projects in Germany, and hands-on experience in historic East Anglian gardens and estates - equips me to support and elevate your horticultural ambitions.
