Hello

I'm Jo, a companion gardener covering Mumbles, West Cross, Newton, Caswell, Langland, Mayals, Bishopston, Murton and Derewn Fawr in Swansea.
I work WITH or FOR you looking after your green spaces if you are lacking mobility, knowledge, confidence or time.

Jobs undertaken include but not limited to;
– Weeding
- Dead heading
– Pruning/ trimming
- Propagation/ seed planting
– Watering (unless hose pipe restrictions are in force!)

Other services include;
– Advice on sustainable gardening practices
– Invasive non-native species (INNS)
– Gardening for wildlife
– Talks, walks and training

I have over 30 years of gardening experience and my background is environmental education, sustainability, biodiversity and invasive non-native species control having worked and volunteered for local and national charities, national agencies and local government as well as run my own environmental education company (About Wild Wales) and used to run a successful invasive non-native species consultancy, mainly dealing with Japanese knotweed.

My life-long gardening passion was cultivated (pun intended!) as a child in my parents’ garden, weeding alongside my mum. Then, more recently, helping friends, neighbours and family which has led me into this new adventure as Mumbles Garden Companion!
