Sophie Parmenter Studio
About
We’ve been creating beautifully planted designs for private gardens & public spaces since 2008. Our sustainable and regenerative approach is inspired by a lifelong love of wild places & natural landscapes.
Our plant-driven design seeks to improve upon the existing biodiversity of a site, crafting a landscape where our imaginative, artistic approach to fulfilling a client’s needs also allows local wildlife & habitats to flourish.
About Sophie:
Whilst studying for an MA in Biological Sciences at Jesus College Oxford, Sophie developed her interest in entomology and plant sciences. A Diploma in Garden Design from the English Gardening School confirmed her love of combining botany with the creation of beautiful spaces.
Certain themes run through her work – generous and naturalistic planting, married with an innovative approach to traditional crafts and natural materials.
Sophie has recently taken on the stewardship of a small farm in Staffordshire. This will function as a ‘living lab’ where the studio’s work in both public space and private garden design will be complemented and informed by an experimental approach to regenerative land management and horticulture.
